Invest In North American Shariah-Compliant Companies
The OneVest Halal Equity Fund (the “Fund”) allows investors to align their investments with their values. The Fund’s objective is to provide long-term capital appreciation and quarterly distributions through investments in publicly traded North American companies whose business activities are consistent with Shariah principles and guidelines.

How the Fund is Built
The Fund strictly invests in Shariah-compliant stocks listed on a Canadian or U.S. stock exchange. The target weightings in the Fund are 90% U.S. and 10% Canadian companies.
Companies that are involved in the following activities are not eligible to be included in the Fund:
- Excess Debt
- Alcohol
- Firearms
- Impure Foodstock
- Usurious Institutions
- Adult Entertainment
- Gambling
- Tobacco
Companies are also screened on a financial basis, and companies must meet the following financial ratios to be included:
- Interest-bearing debt should not exceed 30% of the companies value (market capitalization)
- Current interest-earning assets should not exceed 30% of market capitalization
- Income generated from prohibited activities should not exceed 5%
Knowing Your Investment is Aligned with Your Values
The Fund adheres to Shariah principles and guidelines in accordance with the governance standards of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions ("AAOIFI").
The structuring and documentation of the Fund have carefully been reviewed by the Fund's Shariah Supervisory Board (SSB) which has issued a certificate of Shariah compliance.
Manzil has been appointed as the designated consultant for the Fund.
