A Politically-Exposed Person (PEP) is an individual with a high profile or someone that has been entrusted with a prominent public function. These include:

Government officials (foreign or domestic)

Political party officials (foreign or domestic)

Senior government or judicial officials

Relatives and close associates of the individuals listed above (e.g. Spouse, child or a household member)
For regulatory purposes, Clients must be checked for Politically-Exposed Person (PEP) status at onboarding. If you identify as a Politically-Exposed Person PEP during onboarding, OneVest will follow up with a form for you to complete and return before your funds can be invested.
